Pasqua got himself into the breakaway today, alongside Wanty GC contender Guillaume Martin. The stage was very hot, making it extremely difficult, but Pasqua was happy that for a sprinter he can stay close to the best climbers in the world.

"Very, very dangerous" is how Pasqua summarised the cobbled stage to Roubaix. The race was strewn with crashes all around and Pasqua has three flats himself. But all the Wanty boys made it to the end of the stage and will welcome the following rest day.

Another long day in the saddle for Pasqua and the Wanty boys. Pasqua praised the bravery of his teammate Marco Minnaard for going in the break of the day with only one other, Fabien Grellier (Direct Energie). Now the serious focus shifts to tomorrows stage, the cobblestones and the finish in Roubaix.

On the longest stage of this year's race, it was Wanty-Groupe Gobert who showed their courage to with several team members attempting long solo breakaways. The race came back together and ended in a bunch sprint, where Pasqua bagged another top ten placing, ending the day 9th.
