Tour de France 2016 - Team Presentation Ceremony

Conquista was in Saint-Mère-Église, Normandy, yesterday evening for the Tour de France Team Presentation Ceremony.

After being bussed to the site on a selection of WWII military vehicles, serenaded by one of Normandy's top 100 covers bands, each team took to the stage in front of thousands of excited fans.

A salon-fresh Fabian Cancellara of Trek-Segafredo looked happy and relaxed before taking on the Grand Boucle one last time.

Mark Cavendish of Team Dimension Data had shown his spiky side at the day's press conference - he slapped down the Guardian's Will Fotheringham for incorrectly suggesting that taking the yellow jersey was a Cavendish "career goal", and when Foth apologised for "putting words in your mouth", Cav replied "it wouldn't be the first time, Will" - but clearly enjoyed the rapturous welcome he received from the large crowd.

British rising star sprinter Dan McLay and his Fortuneo-VitalConcept team mates did their best to look like they weren't overwhelmed by the whole thing

Rui Costa and his Lampre Merida team took their GoPro on to the stage with them, much to their own merriment.  And of course Cav's team mate and housewives' favourite Bernie Eisel was there to charm the media and melt a few hearts.
