This was yesterday's ride. It's modest by the standards of real cyclists, but it left me utterly wasted for the whole of the rest of the day. I had planned to clean my bike but I just didn't have the energy. The fact it rained all afternoon was another powerful disincentive.
In other news, today I successfully raised my handlebars. Thank you Youtube. For a long time I have been concerned that my bike is just too big - no problem when you are commuting for 45 minutes at a time, but potentially a source of major problems in the lumbar region if you ride for longer. If this doesn't work I'll probably try a shorter stem before giving in and getting a proper bike fit.
I also got my money back from Wiggle for the rollers that snapped, so I ordered a set of Kreitlers, which are designed and engineered by Germans, and are therefore a) expensive b) durable c) terrifying.
