Stage 14 ended in a bunch gallop - after Patrick's team mate Cesare Benedetti was in the main breakaway of the 208.5KM stage from Montélimar > Villars-les-Dombes Parc des Oiseaux. Patrick did well to finish safely in the main bunch - receiving the same time as stage winner Mark Cavendish.
After 2 weeks racing Patrick took the oppotunity to rest-up yesterday evening and prepare for the next day which features six categorised climbs. Here's a picture of his huge breakfast - featuring fresh fruit, protein and lots and lots of carbs.

Earlier this week l’Equipe reported that last year’s Tour runner-up Primož Roglič would have a two month break from racing prior to the French event. That approach goes against the trend of all recent Tour winners, yet Jumbo-Visma believes that this route is the best one to take. Is the team right?
